I agree. Authentic Vorsteiner hoods are rare. They only made so many. There are copies floating around, but they do not bear the vorsteiner badges on the inside, for what it is worth. I cannot comment on the replica quality but I can say the authentic vorsteiners are legit

I have this hood and Love it. I have had it for about a year and it took me a while to track one down and many people have tried to buy it off me.

I have one of the first Vorsteiner hoods as well. Awesome quality and there is an Authenticity badge on the underside of the hood. And 950-1000 is about right...I would NOT go lower than that TBH. Oh and you cannot compare it with Seibon or any of those others....its just the finish quality and the amounts of CC applied make that difference...not to mention it is a very good weave.

cf hood

I have a Vis cf hood that look like the Vorsteiner.
I think mine is a 2x2 but single side only.
Is one better than the other, or are they both similar quality.
thanks

Is your hood 1x1 on the vents and 2x2 on the rest of the hood? the vorsteiners are. Not too sure about fitment comparisons, I have seen a few Vis hoods installed that had too much fender gap. I dont necessarily attribute that to the hood though, as you can adjust your fenders inward to close it.

I think the vent and the hood is one piece.
However, you are right.
The gap between the fenders and the hood is a bit too large.
Is it complicated to move the fenders inward to reduce the gap.
And by reducing one gap you probably create another one somewhere.
I dont know, i'm just asking....

thanks for your help.

You can loosen the top bolts of your fender and push it inward to close the gap. Leave the other hardware bolted into your fender and you should not create any gaps. Your fenders are metal and can flex a little bit to fit into the new position.
