I'm with State Farm and they don't give me any discounts related to vehicle features. Maybe it's time to start shopping around .............

Yeah I told my agent about every feature I had, then he went on and worked out a new quote for me for the BMW, I didn't bother to ask him specifically which feature was discounted for and which wasn't since I assumed he'd handle them. I was planning on trying out another company anyways.

If they don't give you a discount, maybe you should program the clown nose to blink and show them you have an alarm...

When I was looking at insurance, it seemed all insurance co's had 4 categories of anti-theft, ranging from audible alarm (cat 1) to lojack (cat 4). I didn't know where a non-alarm 3 series would fit, even though it's basically impossible to steal given the special key.

What did you tell your insurance company about the car to get them to give you an anti-theft discount?

Check out Liberty Mutual. They give you a 5% discount if its a BMW and also give you the BMW performance insurance coverage.....which means that they will use only BMW parts on the car. You can also mention the "Coded Driveaway Protection" system on the car.

Best rate quote I've ever gotten, SafeCo insurance. Excellent coverage and great claims department, I highly recommend checking them out. www.safeco.com

I configured a quote from them and I have been unfortunate with cars in the past 3 years. 1 hit and run accident (not at fault) and 2 speeding tickets, with all of that on my record they still offered me a 6-month rate of $680.
