Trivett Service Review
I know i've been raving about them recently, but today really put the icing on the cake.
They swapped my transmission and cross member over in 2 days, and went to pick up the car aronud 3:30pm today. It wasn't ready yet, but my SA took me into the service workshop to see how they do it all. UNREAL. The place is cleaner than most hospitals. The cars perfectly lined up. Christine had her old transmission in a box, and they had all the wires hanging out of her as they upgraded and reset the ECU. Simply put, each car has its own set of wall sockets, and Christine was pretty well plugged in. I was shown how the ECU is reset, plugs into the USB in the centre consol, and then to a few places under the bonnet. Her exhaust was also off. I was then taken around to the networking room, where all those plugs and data come to life. There were 2 techs watching my ECU reset and was told "22 minutes till we are done with the ECU." They were pretty damn good! |

Man, you really gotta intro me to the guys you work with there. Everytime I've walked into Trivett, it's been a massive disappointment.
So two weeks ago I got an email from BMW with a pdf catalogue of their 'Lifestyle' products. Spotted an 8gb USB stick in the exact shape of our keyfobs and thought it'd be an awesome thing to have for $59. Not bad at all. Since Trivett is 400m from where I work, I walked in to buy it and leave. Except how much are they selling it for? $75. Seventy-Five bucks. The catalogue stated the RRP as $59 but Trivett was flogging it off for an extra $16. I called over the dude who is responsible for the accessories and he was an absolute asshole. "I believe the brochure you received is old." "I got it last week." "Oh then these prices tend to fluctuate." "...what? It's been one week." "Yeh, the prices on these things tend to change. Maybe you should go somewhere else." What the fuck? Needless to say I walked straight out and asked my friend SBC (who's on the e90post forum here) to fetch one for me from BMW Ruschcutters. Sure enough, EVERY OTHER DEALER in Sydney has it for $59. If I can't even get something simple like a USB stick for RECOMMENDED RETAIL from Trivett, then I don't even want to go into their car prices.

Just a pleasure to deal with those guys, absolutely no doubt my car will be in there for regular servicing. Not sure about their sales guys, though. Service are fantastic, courteous and really go FAR out of their way for you. If you want a service contact, let me know and i'll send you my guy's details. |

Yes Steven. He spoke to me like he was the King and I was some lowly peasant.
