Any other details you'd be kind enough to share with us would be greatly appreciated. Where was the car purchased from, price, spec, etc?

Key thing to understand is that these cars were sold at a mark-up in our region, just like any other M power or AMG car, in comparison to the US. A buddy of mine picked up his car, similar spec but in Orange, brand new at the time for around $72k.. I paid approximately $58k for mine |

One more question out of curiosity: do you know which country the car was originally manufactured for? Putting the VIN into the online tool will tell you if you don't know for sure.

Here is the link I'm using: https://www.bmwvin.com With my car as an example these are the fields that would give a clue as to the target market for the vehicle. + Model = M COUPE (EUR) + S855A Language version Italian + S884A On-board literature, Italian Obviously the final two listed under "Vehicle Options" are the most revealing for my car Thanks for humoring me. I've got a bit of a fetish around understanding how many cars have disappeared from their original markets via export or being totaled.

30,000 miles.
Owned it for 6 weeks and covered 1000 miles already (more than the previous owner did in the last 4 years). Bought the 1M to drive and enjoy, not gather dust and Ł’s. |

Interesting of the original 450 UK cars 99 have now been taken off the road. Probably low mileage cars in collections ?

https://www.gov.uk/make-a-sorn "Tell DVLA you're taking your vehicle off the road, for example if you're keeping it in a garage. This is sometimes called a 'Statutory Off Road Notification' (SORN)." Whoa. Roughly 1/4 of the available vehicles not being driven. A real shame. I can't help but wonder how much the market price of the 1M is being propped up by artificial supply and demand constraints. The fact the 1M was declared, and arguably accepted, as a future classic so quickly after release could really mess with future prices once people start dusting off 3,000 "barn finds"...
