I think they'll look like the 7's taillights... with this caveat -
turn the main unit upside down with the top edge leading furthest towards the rear wheels and then arcing down and back in a smooth curve. The top edge runs parallel with the creased shoulderline. You can just about make the outline out in the AdvEvo pic that Spud posted. |

Nice work guys!! BUT if you look closely at the photoshop from the desert, The red tape more than likely gives away what the shape of the tail lights are. TAKE A REALLLY CLOSE LOOK.

Youre right onehots2k...but take another look again. Like I said, "turn the 7-ers upside down..." and disregard the whitebackups in the wrong place. It's close. |

You know, there's so many images of the 1-er out there now...I've started a seperate file for them on my computer...but, after awhile I've forgotten what I've seen earlier compared to say, the most recent spypic.
Huckfeldt is the gold standard for putting together accurate photoshops- but he doesn't always nail it with BMW's. It's the Mojave pic that seals the deal. |

Better yet...
The second one may be more accurate... what do you think?! |

without a doubt. The car is so small, that tiny adjustments can skew the car's design. The front Huckfeldt is accurate....this compared to the "Carwash" grey-silver one leaked two weeks ago.

Ok, after I've compared your pictures I have to admit, that it will look like the CGI from Huckfeldt. But I have to say that from the aesthetical point of view, I'd rather take any of my "ideas"

Do you guys think that the car has a fake rump on it ? Can't see whay it would jut out sooooo much...i.e. where the bootlid (trunk ;-) meets the bumper.
Would look a lot better proportioned if the rear was tighter IMHO. |

There's camo...literally a second skin sitting atop the real thing on the grey coupe.
The mojave pic is very revealing- you can see an integrated spoiler and a neat little bend back in ala the Z4 roadster...could all the tape be about disguising a high-mounted center tail light? |

We are told that these are all pre-production prototypes.
But this is the coupe Hans Stuck was driving last week on the Ring- rear bumper very similar to Mojave model. |

I hope the rear bumper has been disguised / fattened / chunked up, and in reality it ends up more like the Huckfeld or even the CAR photoshop (i.e. taughter). I hate big fat overhangs. What's with the massive lip where the boot hits the bumper ?! (and as mentioned will be bigger when they take the 2nd skin off the boot). |

And remember...these are prototypes. I'm sure there's some minor tweaks still to come in the final stampings. Ever see the rubber bumpers european models literally had to screw on in the 70's to match U.S. safety standards? Now that was ugly. |

Yup, euro bumpers were sharp! The Bumpers on US BMWs did not start to look better (flush) until 1989. I had a '86 Euro 325i that I sold at the first of the year. I'll dig up a pic if anyone cares to see it? |
