135i M Convertible Sport package in OZ - what do you get?
What exactly do you get for the sport package in OZ. As far as I can tell with non-sport 135 you already get the sport seats, the sport suspension, the aerodynamic front and rear grills (according to the configurator anyway). Does that leave the steering wheel, trims, badges, Le Mans blue, and Double spoke wheels?
The brochure and configurator seem to contridict one another. Thanks |

Let me clarify. I'm getting a convertible. The story is confusing there with **some** sport options. You are otherwise right that coupes have all sport features as standard.
Any 135i convertible owners in oz without the sport option?? Does your car come with the front/ rear spoilers as below? |

If that screen between front and rear seat is a cone of silence for the kids. I will buy one tomorrow.

Man, I'm confused now. I think the M suspension (and seats) are the ony things that are explicitly included without sport. S^&t, I get my car in 2-3 weeks anyway but I hope I haven't fallen foul of a configurator glitch - I really want that front grill styling in the picture above ,...

Thanks. Will grab a glass of wine and not think about it anymore. I guess my photos in a couple of weeks time will be the proof. Really looking forward to having that roof down and listening to the growl of the engine.

We hired 325i convertible up at Noosa last year in 35Deg plus heat, and this car had black leather and it was just warm..
My 135 vert has coral leather and so far it has been excellent.. |

Mate of mine has a 120i vert on order and should get it the same time as a few of us here (TimMc, pacman and earlyMLC).
He drove from Bris to Ballina today and gave me a call while he was enjoying a bottle of red I gave him. I asked him "did you think about what it would be like driving the 1er today?" and he said it was all he could do not to think how sweet it would be today down the M1, top down and cruising |

Man this is hard work,... I spoke with my dealer this am and they said that I would definitely NOT get the sport grill/rear end with the non-sport 135i convertible. They quoted the disclaimer at the bottom of the configurator page and said there was nothing they could do. They asked me to ring BMW australia to make a complaint/enquiry.
BMW Australia were helpful and checked within the IT/configuration dept. They claim that I WILL get the sport grill/rear end and would speak to my dealer today about this. God only knows what is going to come off the ship in 2 days time. I am actually thinking about cancelling the order if the grill is wrong and ordering a 2009 model with new I-drive etc. Anyway, I guess I will know pretty soon. |

Sorry to vent my spleen like this but I think the process may be useful for future buyers.
State of affairs: Agent/product manager at dealer were not really sure but eventually went into bat for me. BMW Australia was sure, then not sure, then was, then not. Wash up is that if the car rolls off the boat without the front/rear sport ends my dealer will champion my cause and demand BMW Australia fix it (believes I will be owed a sport pack in this instance). A lot of this has come about because the 135i vert is the only one in BMW's lineup which has the M Sport package split across several level of options and the configurator and specs sheet are in conflict with each other and internally inconsistent. Lessons: 1. If dealing with a car broker still ask to speak directly with the dealer to bed down the specs exactly. 2. The configurator is worth not much and can really mislead you. I would present screen shots to the dealer and confirm that WYSIWYG. 3. Being persistent but courteous can have its rewards - the dealer and BMW OZ are being helpful and understand my concerns. For those of you(any?) interested I will keep you informed as things draw to a conclusion. |

I have also ordered a 135 vert and I wanted the sport/M aerodynamics package so I ordered the M sport package for $1165 to make sure. The official price list clearly states that the M aerodynamics package is standard on the 135 only when you purchase the optional M Sport Package. The question is what is the M aerodynamics package? After looking at the 135 vert brochure I decided that the front and rear bumpers were part of the M aerodynamics Package so I got everything to make sure but it isn't clear.
The price list states that the M Sport Package: Includes M Aerodynamic Package, M Sport suspension, M leather steering wheel, M door sill finishers, M light alloy wheels Double spoke 207 M with 7J x 17 205/50 front tyres and 7.5J x 17 225/45 R17 rear tyres, interior trim in Aluminium Glacier Silver and shadowline for exterior windows. Price for 120 is $2,545, for 125 is $1,703 and for 135 is $1165 The 135 vert does come standard with M sport suspension and 18inch rims so I assumed the lower price of $1165 paid for the M Aerodynamic package, M leather steering wheel, M door sill finishers and shadowline for exterior windows. The interesting point is that $1165 is not a bad price for new bumpers, aero skirts, steering wheel, door sill finishers and the shadowline for exterior windows so maybe its possible the bumpers are included as standard. I don't know why I wrote this becauses it no help at all!!
