I'm very into cost effective tires when using low profile tires. If not inexpensive, you'll tend to overuse the tires and run into dangerous issues having no thread and suddenly getting stuck in the rain.

Many people in the same situation like Falken's, Hankooks, Generals. I personally prefer Sumitomo's or Nexxen's. However, I plan to try Yokohama Sdrives next time I replace the tires on my One.

im a big fan on the BFGoodrich KDW 2's ... not only does it have great dry traction, but they do well in the rain too. Also the tread pattern is nice.

I read in a recent Car and Driver that these are really good. Not too expensive either.

Don't the star spec's run wide? Are people running 225 front 255 rear 18's with no rubbing or are they using a different size?

That's what we have on our 135i... It's not dumped to the ground but lowered on KW V3's pretty good.

That's what I have on my car! The Yokohama Advan AD08 is certainly an absolutely amazing tire. I highly recommend it for any performance car of it's class.
