JUST ORDERED!! WAIT TIME for New Build??

Hey guys i just ordered a 1er bout 6 days ago now!!!
125i - sport MT
le mans blue
alaska grey
m-sport kit
18"s
sun roof....... CANT WAIT !!

The dealer told me it will be a september build and may arrive around late november early december.... is this normal?? 3 months???

i cant wait that long!!! Im way to excited??

also does anyone know about the tracking for Australia???

No production number yet. I'm dealing with Worthingtons at Kariong and they are a bit slow in providing such information.

Who is your sales guy at Worthington's as that is where I got my car and did not have any trouble getting my VIN when it was on the BMW production system.
Also got to ask if you are in Brisbane, how come Worthingtons

Yes, AW 135i iDrive, Pro Nav and CA with Logic 7. Ordered 27th July 08 and collected 16th Dec, but that was partly because I wanted an MY09 with the new iDrive build and my car was actually built first week of Oct so it was a very long wait.

Jason was initially my sales guy, but he didn't think I was important enough as he never returned calls. I am now talking to Peter Randall (I think that's his name). He called me about ten minutes after I sent an email threatening to cancel my order.

I am getting it from Worthington's as none of the local dealers would come to the party on price, so I went through Private Fleet. They found Worthington's price the best, so it's through them.

3 month is very quick for a build order. Try more than 4 in my case. Order 26th Dec collected 7th May. Could be a week earlier if Prix car has not stuff up my order...

Now it is back to BMW Melbourne again (not posting in on internet yet but check my blog "ブログ").

Ah, the wait is painful, but 3 months is nothing! I knew I wanted the 1 Series 1 year before it actually landed in Aust. I had the number plates for 6 months! You'll get through it - that's what this forum is for

Peter was my sales guy. You should find him very helpful. Always provided me with the info I wanted (like VIN) as soon as he could get it. His own car is a BMW Z4.

another question.... should i have negotiated floor mats??? do they usually come with the new car or should i have asked this prior to the order???

Floor mats should be standard with the car. From what I understand, the dealers "throw it in" to the deal to make themselve smell like roses, but it should be delivered with the car anyway.

Pickup from Worthingtons was quite an experience. First there was the paperwork, then a quick photo of you and the car that comes back a few minutes later mounted in a magnetic fridge frame then a run down on the car it'self, then the music starts.

Other staff members come over with those party popper streamer thingies going off. Then I was presented with a BMW picnic kit which has a bottle of bubbly, 2 glasses, bottle opener and a few other tid bits in it.

Quite overwhelming really and yes, the floormats were already fitted to the car.

i ordered mine in early july... waiting like an expectant mother for the birth sometime in october...

i hope i get the full treatment like the others but I'm not at the same dealer...

It was on the tip of my tongue to ask him what a 125i tastes like, as that's how far I was going to tell him to stick his car up his a$$. I understand there is a waiting period on these cars, but to be lied to for over a month about the delivery date gets to me.

For the moment, the deal still stands, but I'm looking elsewhere.
