Sorry you guys decided to drop off and not complete the run to Storm King. It was well worth the slightly longer drive. In fairness it was a little tough staying together, but by no means that difficult.

Myself, Pete, and Oliver ran through it twice.
A little rainy, but the stability control kept me well planted. This is one of the best roads in this entire area, you really missed out.

My omlette was simply superb, I will be back to Jackson Hole.

Frank and I got stuck at the light at the exit after the tolls and by the time we made it through everyone had jetted off already. We drove down 17 for a while but didn't see anyone else. Would have definitely done it had you guys pulled over and waited for us to regroup.

We wound up at Bear Mt and caught up with some other people there, ended up grabbing a beer at the Peekskill Brewery.

I'll take responsibility in the fact that I let someone I didn't know lead us up to Bear Mtn...it seemed like we drove for an hour in the wrong direction just to end up in the same place had we taken the Palisades Parkway straight.

When I lead the group, I kept one eye on my rear view mirror to make sure everyone stayed together. I'm a bit disappointed that we couldn't all end up in the same place, enjoyed the same roads and "missed out". That coupled with the fact that it rained on and off, I was already in the mindset that carving twisties with a group in the rain was already not a great idea. I heard that the other 2 135is got left in the dust by the 993 and he did not wait up. The spirit of these GTGs isn't about who can go faster in the turns than the rest, it is about sharing an experience with some fellow motoring enthusiasts. Anything more than that is just outright dangerous and if you believe that was the intention behind our meet, please feel free not to attend next time.

Oh well, you live and learn, us 4 (5 including Paul in spirit), found each other at the end and grabbed some interesting beers at a pub overlooking the water in the end. BTW we saw the 993TT going the opposite way on the Palisades once we all found each other.

Sorry to the AW 128i that couldn't be with us. Cannot wait to see pics!

ughh... i was following the leader guys, wish i got to meet up with you on bear mountain... though the Storm King Road was pretty sick, i wanted to get some more group photo's with you all.
