Black performance grills
Hi,
I would like to know if the glossy black BMW performance grills are the same for 2011 models than 2010? Will they fit the 1M? If not is there a part number available for the 2011 models? Thanks!

Yes, I swapped mine from my '08 to my '11. Either OEM or aftermarket fit that year range.

Since those grills are part of the bumper and the 1M is different, can we assume they are the same?

I didn't like the 2 tone difference so I painted my lower grills gloss black for 5$ All personal preference. Matte black would eliminate the need to spray the lower grill.

Sorry, didn't specify. SA told me that the grill specs are the same as the '11, hence my 08-to '11-to 1M reasoning.

i went with matte black, because they match the grills in the lower fascia.

Yes, the performance gloss grills do complete the shadowline trim and match up. The matte ones may be what some like, but they seem to appear like they need painting...like a flat primer when up against the OEM shadowline. Think I may now do the lower grill gloss as well. BUT again its all preference. The extra matching bling is a nice touch as you look back at the car when parked.

Check out a google search for BMW Performance Grills...and there are several places. I went thru my dealer, got my BMW club discount, [they treat me very well at my dealer, and I trade with them for JUST about everything like this...and it has paid off in benefits and relationships--but thats me] and I did just fine on price. THEN if something is wrong...guess whose shop I walk into and say...something is wrong. But check google first and go from there...someone else might have a favorite site to chime in on this one. Good luck..you will love'em. Oh BTW-- I WAS impressed with the quality on these..plastic as they are.
