Boost pressure is the amount that the turbo(s) pressurize the intake charge. Simply put w/o getting too technical, the more pressure, the more power.
Most of Europe uses different designations than the US in factoring boost pressure. They use 'bar'(barometric pressure) or atm(like SCUBA). 1 bar or atm is equal to 14.7 psi. .6 bar works out to 8.8 psi. Your car makes a full boost pressure of 8.8 lbs per sq inch. |
