Valve stems for Apex wheels?

Bought a new set of OEM valve stems and they don't fit - they run out of thread before clamping to the wheel... So what do people use with Apex wheels? I find the cheap ones available at most tire shops make it difficult to get a good seal when checking pressures, which I do very often (autox/hpde).

Apex sells valve stems on there website that work with their wheels at a reasonable price, but I'm very surprised the OEM stems don't work.

They also sell a refurb kit in case it happens to be your o-ring/crush washer.

Bought from Apex

I purchased mine from Apex at the same time as my wheels. Matching Anchrite (SP) color too.

The ones they sell on their website are OEM ones - they don't have their own. Based on the response I got from them when I returned them, it seems like they think this is a relatively isolated issue... not sure what that means, as the OEM valve stems should all be the same. Maybe the wheels vary that much in thickness, but it wasn't even close.
