Hey guys does anyone know if the "BMW Radio Professional" 2009 model (standard radio in 1 series) is compatible with Digital Radio ???????

if not is there an upgrade?? mod??

I highly doubt it mate. Even if it was, you would have to have iDrive to actually get all the benefits from it. Even then, yes, yet again - who knows if the screen would display the info from digi radio.

Best to consult your dealer.

So the pro is standard down under aswell.. Only in Europe we got the Business model then?

I did a quick search on it and there is a claim of a retrofit module for any radio on BMWs... I found a link and it is over 400 pounds.

I think I will give up.

Someone knows how to get digital radio for cars?

personally I think digital radio is pretty much a waste of time at the moment. A lot of the stations are using such low bit rates that the quality is actually WORSE than analog.. and don't get me started on the pointlessness of the in car units that retransmit the digital channel on FM!

I have a shit ear... I can tell the difference between 128kps, 192kps and 256kps.

Don't think so. The iPod one is just a tuner that can receive analog FM radio ... like an extension of the iPod.
