IMO Valencia Orange is THE color to get on this car. As stated, it's very much the signature color of the 1M, and will really set the car apart from the rest of the road. Personally I could care less about the whole "cop magnet" theory - buy a car to drive it and enjoy it, not because you think it won't be noticed by law enforcement. Seems like a boring way to live. But then I bought a Crimson Red 1er, which some consider flashy.
To me the body kit looks a bit too overwrought on the Alpine White car, although I do like the color and think it generally works very well on 1ers. Somehow I think the VO just "gets away with" the front fascia better. Black cars are just a pain in the ass, and IMO kind of boring. Of course, they are all fine colors in their own way and you really can't go wrong. But if it were me, I'd definitely go with the VO. |

I haven't voted yet, I still can't make up my mind.
White looks sharp, it makes the details stick out most, especially the rear - But one of my favorite parts about this car is the fared fenders and the white hides those curves. See these 2 pics. You can hardly see the flared fenders in white vs the black one. The white almost looks as narrow as the normal 135. But you can also see how the black hides details like the slit in the rear bumper. Orange does both - show the details and the curves. But in certain light, the color looks drab, like this one. If only I could see it in real life. Another big plus for white would be any CF parts like the BMW performance CF wings would stick out better. You could even go full monty and make it look like this |

Book a ticket to the next auto show where the 1M will be making an appearance - Denver? I flew to Detroit to see it. So glad I did!

Call me a BMW bitch but, I reckon the AW 1M will look very much at home next to my AW M3. Black, too much work for a daily driver, VO too bright and sorry I just don'do orange cars (exception would be a Galardo).

I'm I huge fan of black and red, give me Imola Red, so I voted for VO which I'll probably get.
I usually find white cars boring, but the Alpine White 1M is really growing on me. |

In Australia orange cars are very "in" at the moment. Especially in shades of burned orange / valencia orange.
Burned orange is the imola yellow of tomorrow . . . out of fashion and very hard to sell. Don't get me wrong, in some lights I think the VO looks fantastic. But AW gets my vote.

That burnt orange could be the next trend color, since it fits many cars well and orange tones are very rare on the streets here. But still, VO is not just a burnt orange, it comes with some effect. So there could be similar cars out there but not exactly VO cars. If burnt orange cars will come, there will be different tones of it with different effects. And that's the biggest difference to white. btw: Is it "burned" or "burnt" ?! |

I am amazed BMW has not made the jackets available for us to buy. Even IF we can not get a 1M... owning the jacket would be really cool. Anyone know of a good Chineese leather factory who wants to make some quick money! |
