Update to my issue. Dealer changed coils and spark plugs (1,4,6) being burnt. Car runs good now good thing for extended warranty would have came out to around 1k.

$1000 seems like quite a bit for plugs and coils!

Not for BMW my friend! Crazy prices. I just got quoted $165 for an oil change on my 1M and that is after a 15% BMW CCA discount!

I just saw a survey of the most expensive cars to maintain. BMW #1. Combination of plastic parts and high service rates.

Extortion. I'm no DIY wizard but was able to do my plugs with relatively little drama. I guess I saved a bundle on parts AND labor!

You need to move.

I had an oil and filter change on my 1M at my dealer, in Boise, Idaho, in early March. The regular charge would have been $107.28, including tax, however they gave me $27.33 off with a frequent coupon they have, so I paid $89.03

Was thinking the same...maybe the misquoted you with TWS assuming that's what the motor required.
