"BMW has announced new product actions for new Exclusive edition models of the BMW 1 Series Coupé (E82) and the BMW Convertible (E88) starting March 2012. The German auto-maker had previously announced that the production of the 1 Series Coupé and Convertible Sport models will come to an end in February 2012, stating that the termination of production will not affect separate Sport models offered on the new BMW 1 Series 5-door Sports Hatch (F20). The new exclusive models will be built on ES specification offering £2,315 of equipment for £500 which is a lot less compared to the equivalent ES model, saving the customer up to £1,815. In addition to the ES Specification, the new exclusive edition models will come with standard equipment such as 17” light alloy Star-spoke style 371, Bespoke Boston leather upholsteries, Bluetooth hands free facility with USB audio interface, Anthracite headlining (not available for E88), Brushed Aluminium interior trim, Door sill finishers with BMW Edition designation, Chrome line exterior trim, Oxide Silver mirror caps, Chrome elements to the kidney grill, Chrome exhaust tailpipe, BMW Professional radio with single CD player (with MP3 playback capability). There is also an option of a unique 18” light alloy V-spoke style 217. Also in the works starting March 2012 are new Sport Plus Edition models. The new sport model will be built on M Sport specification, improving even further the sporty and dynamic features of the Coupé and Convertible. Standard equipments of the Sport Plus model will include Unique 18” light alloy M Double-spoke style 313 M, Exclusive Boston leather upholsteries, Bluetooth hands free facility with USB audio interface, Black mirror caps, Chrome kidney grille with Black vertical slats, Dark Line rear lights and the option of Carbon Black metallic paintwork. Pricing for both the new Exclusive editions models and the new Sport plus Edition models including VAT start from £22,525.00 to £31,345.00 depending on the model of 1 Series Coupé (E82) and Convertible (E88)." |

I've seen a couple of pictures of carbon black on an E88 Sport+. Looks great but I think its one of those colours that you need to see in person to get the full impression. In some photos it looks black but in the sunlight the blue metalic flakes come through. I've seen the colour on an F10 in the showroom and it convinced me there and then. Anyway .... hope to post some pics soon.
