I just found this thread, great looking car, superb workmanship. I'm currently building a similar E87 but mine is a tarmac rally car.
I'm limited to ex WRC rally tyres due to the prohibitive cost of any wider ones so I only have 8 x 18 wheels all round. I bought ET11 so they increase the track considerably, the rears just fit under the standard rolled arches but I have ordered some 1M wings for the front. I'm hoping the front wings don't look to wide for my track, I might widen the rear later by making some wide rear arches and maybe some spacers to gain a bit more track width. I hope to modify the standard front bumper to meet the wider front wings for now until I can find a 1M front bumper skin! I too have the E92 M3 rear subframe, diff etc, all E92 M3 front end but due to UK rally rules I am limited to 3 litre engine capacity so I opted for the old E36 M3 engine with around 325bhp, I have a Tractive (Sweden) 6 speed sequential gearbox too! I'm currently painting it in Alpine white, I'll post some pics when it's finished. I'd be interested to know how you fabricated those rear arches, I might have to do something similar! i have one question.. why are the wheels only 10" wide ET39? stock you can fit 9.5 ET 45 (rear, this is)... with the amount of pump you have, you should be able to fit something closer to +30? or are the images deceptive?
just curious, how much extra width are you carrying on the rear? i'm planning on ~1inch on mine, which means i should be able to fit in 10" ET26... if you've gone less than 1 extra inch, WOW, i'm scared... what do you have on the front though? readily available kits add 2.5 inches either side which makes it 10" ET-5 to sit flush... how much width on the front, too, in this case?
