Illuminated door sills
What would it take to get these babies into a 1er? I think the front door sill dimensions are pretty similar. Pricey at $842.93

It would take a $742.93 price reduction and a complete redesign to something like ///M badges or a roundel for me to even think of considering it...

They look aftermarket and bit tacky to me.

Illuminated door sills are a nice classy touch. Somebody explain to me how stainless steel + electroluminescent backlight looks "tacky" compared to injection molded plastic? Especially while you are opening the passenger door at night to let a hot chick into your car. The price, however, is out of control. You'd have to be an idiot of extraordianry magnitude to drop $842.93 on that, it would still be a complete rip off at 1/2 the price. I can see $100 a side, but that's about it. You can get a 37" 1080P LCD tv for less than $842.93.

These would probably look best in a 7er now that I look at them again.
Backlit M-logo sills would be killer, though. Now that I think of that, I would pay lots for those... I smell a project. A good lithium battery should power a couple LED's for a few months, use a noise or light sensor to turn them on/off, limited wiring... man I'm getting ahead of myself. |
