I have been thinking that the car would look very good in Laguna Seca Blue. I loved that color on the E46 M3. Too bad that isn't even close to being an option.

destruct007,

Thanks for posting the tutorial.

Long time photoshop user, have been working on my own color converions as well. I tried using your blue swatch (along with many of my own) and can not seem to get the rich blues you are getting once I set the blend mode to color. When I go to adjust the levels, I have only three lines on the histogram - obviously missing info. Can't figure out what it is. Any thoughts on the matter would be helpful - thank you!

all I'm doing is getting a super small sample of the most colorful/saturated section of the car from the screen grab. Then the levels middle arrow on the layer below, you can go into hue/saturation to edit the top color layer if you need to push it further in a direction. Otherwise don't know what to tell ya.

good luck

Very nice work! Are you a graphic designer man? I noticed you use terms like 'comp' haha. I think I like black or white the best (timeless) tho looking at your comps the light blue and the grey look great. and a distant third is the dark blue or crimson red (actually i hope it IS more orange).

However i dont like spending more on metallic colors so it will prob. be black or white for me.
