Black Spur (Melbourne area)

I went for a drive yesterday to look at the Black Spur road between Healesville and Marysville in VIC. Having just moved to the area this was my first chance to see the area and it is beautiful. The road is nice and curvy with a speed limit of 80 - a little slow but there are cops everywhere. If you haven't been to the area its a wonderful drive with the top down.

On another note - be careful when playing on the public roads. Saw a young kid, maybe 20, with a silver S2000 that had rolled it. Didn't see what happened but it looked like a single car incident.

I didn't stop since he had plenty of help and looked like everyone was going to survive - except the car, most certainly totaled.

Enjoy the drive!

Did you go on the Reefton spurs?
Between Warburton and Marrysville, much less cops and traffic.
If you need more info, let me know.
This is the route me and my mates go often.

I saw that on the way back from a decent drive... Rather unfortunate.

S2000=widow Maker

S2000 is a a handful I understand. When they let go they go big time from what I have read. Lot like a 135 in YOYO mode. Hell of a car for a p-plater

Handful only if you drive it like a dope. Well balanced chassis and not overpowered. Driver problem, not car problem I say.

Absolutely!!!
95% of the turns there, I carry through with 3rd gear. About 60-80kms cornering speed.

I've got a house down there, I wouldn't recommend it. Lots of police and cyclists around.

If you want to redline third what's wrong with a track day or trip to the drag strip?
