128i sighting - Encino, CA
So I'm heading out to pick up lunch for our office. Across the street I see this...
Hmm... looks like a 135 (I say because I want to get a 135). But I thought they're not out until March. I get closer. Maybe it's a 3 series coupe, but it looks too small... Can't really tell from looking inside... Let me see what it says on the back... Holy cow! It's out already?! It looks really nice in this color. I saw it at the LA Auto show in the much-loved sedona red but in this color, it looks better. I could even smell the leather from the back of the car! So what's up? Is it available already? |

Wow, that looks more like Space Gray than Sparkling Graphite Metallic. Interesting. Maybe SGM just looks lighter in overcast conditions?

Notice the non-descript BMW paper plates (no dealer plates). Leads me to believe someone important drives it, as in, someone who works for BMW NA.
P.S. Is it just me, or do those orange reflectors stick out like a sore thumb. |

So thats what my color combo is gonna look like on a rainy day. And those headlight washers, maybe they're popped up right now, like it states in the official stuff. Anyways, looks nice. Although one thing I plan on saving up for first is the Euro headlight housings and dual projectors.

hey guys, has anyone noticed how this 128er doesn't have a sunroof? I believe that US spec the 135i comes standard with one but I don't know about the US spec 128i. I know that the Canadian 1er's don't come with sunroofs standard. Hope I contributed something useful :P

Aren't those the plates a dealer would use when a car is on the lot for sale (just for advertising / style purposes)? There is nothing street legal about those plates, nor is there a temporary tag. They can't be going far with this.

There appears to be a distinct line running parallel to the top of the windshield, and a slighter one running parallel to the roof rail trim. |
