Finally, in this climate, the car is going to look crummy on the outside six months of the year no matter what color I pick, so I figured, why not have my favorite interior instead and choose the paint that goes best with that? Then, of course I had to eliminate white and silver because 75% of the cars around here are white or silver. Then graphite, which I love, had to go because the light being what it is here, graphite is hard to see a lot of the time.

But sapphire black metallic and coral red doesn't strike me as bland.
You missed a critical detail in my post: I said non-metallic whites and blacks are bland. If you're going to go black or white, at least opt for metallic, and you did. Metallic makes ALL the difference because it adds depth and sparkle that's missing in a flat paint.

My '06 Z4 Coupe was Sapphire with Dream Red leather M-Sport seats. It was awesome! Good choice.

The one on this thread looks like it was at Forsdicks BMW in Sandton as I have taken my car there for a service a few times and the instore shots look very familiar.

And one of them is mine,

I believe most of those that have been delivered are customer cars and have only been "snapped" in the dealer showrooms before delivery to the customer. That was the case with the 3 I have seen already.

Not so, most of those delivered to SA so far are most likely out on the road already in the hands of very happy customers. We do not need to wait for 22 March.

I must quite obviously be in the second allotment for SA , but should get mine by end March or 1st week in April at the latest.

Man, those 261m's are so nice. I wish we could get them here for less than the price of buying the equipment to actually make them ourselves.
