SO......me and the misses took her mom out to diner today. While I was parking I spotted this little gem at the back of the parking lot. Needless to say, I was much more excited than the two girls

This months BIMMER magazine (No. 83) had an article about finding Elvis's 507. Interesting that I just read that two nights ago.
In that article....."still worth the easy $500,000 that an "ordinary" 507 will fetch....."

I'm insanely jealous. 507 = dream car, despite it being slow.

BMW used to have a clip of its V8 on their website - it's been my ring tone for a while!

That is one gorgeous car. They also had one at the BMW museum when I was there. It's a real treat to see one in person.

The more I look at pics of the old 507 the more I see it as the inspiration behind the new Z4's looks.

I would love to see one in person tho. Classic and beautiful.

NO IDEA.....we were trying to guess who "looked like" may have owned it while eating, but that was just a game and we really had no clue. It was gone when we left, so the owner remains a mystery.

Back in about 88, I was on the crew that took the Magna Carte' and the Declaration across the US. I worked on the Semi that housed both the documents, and the company that built/painted the semi in upstate New York had a 507 sitting in their paint booth they were restoring.They were painting it with a Sikkens Black and I thought it might be the coolest vert I had ever seen.
