Anybody else find that getting the engine cover back on was a real pain? It looks to me like it's pinching down on the u-bend a bit. Hopefully not enough to cause any problem, but I could see the dealership mechanics complaining if they have to remove the engine cover.

Overall it wasn't too difficult to install, it's just dealing with all the tight spaces is a pain, and I'm a bit short and found bending over and reaching back into the engine bay to be very painful after awhile. Also, I haven't done too much work under there, and there's a few tricks to getting all those parts removed and put back in, I imagine the more you do it, the easier it is to deal with.

Love it! Was more difficult since my engine was hot and got a few slight burns on my hand from it but that was only my fault. LOL But install was a snap and the hardest part i found was getting those crazy stock clips loose off the hoses, and pushing hose back against firewall to allow the engine cover to clear.

With my Injen intake I think I can reach back and unscrew it without removing the cowling. I haven't tried it yet though.

Can someone tell me what size screws are used? I lost one during the install, and now I've found that the can is a bit loose and I believe it has moved a bit and is vibrating. I'm going to have to get in there and tighten it up, and possibly put in longer hoses at the same time.

*Update* Screws are 10-32 x 1/2" and the hose is 3/4" heater hose. I found the screws at Home Depot and the hose is sold by the foot at auto parts stores.

Can someone post some pictures of:

1) The post install with everything put back together?
2) A shot showing it being emptied/unscrewed?

I'm interested in how hidden it'll end up looking and what kind of room there will be to get in and empty it.

I have the injen dual cone intakes and from the photos provided thus far, it looks like there will be no room to get back there once everything is re-installed.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I also have the Injen DCI and installed the OCC a couple of months ago. I will post pics for you by the end of the week since I plan on emptying the OCC anyway.

I have mine installed with the injen intake as well. Plenty of room to reach back to unscrew the OCC and empty it without removing anything.

As you can see it is very stealthy under the cowl. Dont mind the dirt...I have to clean my engine bay this Spring. I have to remove the cowl b/c I can't get my hand in there to remove the can.

Thank mate. Looking good. It doesn't look that cramped actually to get in there. Will be picking up one soon now.
