Highly recommend Vans and Chris too... there was a bit of a mix up with my PSS order to Sydney but they were straight onto it and sent me the correct tyres ASAP at no extra cost to me, thanks guys!

Thinking of getting the PSS and gtc. Have been speaking to tyrepower and they have been very patient.

But while the thread is new can you run 19's gtc and PSS 's on stock suspension and wheel arches?

This is more comfortable then 18's RFT I have been told but what about if i stuck with 18s and PSS.

I prefer the look of 19's but are there any issues with performance comfort.

I'm not sure that GTC got 19" for the 1 series

Thanks to Chris and Mark for driving out to rescue my vehicle and having new PSS fitted after becoming stranded with a messy blowout, which could have been significantly more inconvenient and expensive otherwise. Did not consider using BMW Assist given the non-recommended non-RFTs.

I'll add to the chorus of fans. Got PSSs from Tyrepower. Fantastic tyres, very smooth and great grip, could not go back to RFTs. Advice and service from Vans was excellent. Had some delivery issues to Sydney - might be time to get a new courier.

Is it definite that BMW assist will not help if you have non RFTs?
Did the Slime work properly?

I am yet to contact BMW Assist, but I suspect they might take the vehicle and try to refit with RFTs at "local" or "dealership" costs. (Fortunately I already had a set of PSS ready since Jan 2012.)

Was my first time using the Slime repair kit, and it was unsuccessful due to there being a 3cm defect in the tyre. I shall stock up again, because the alternative is ... inconvenient! In fact, I could even revert back to RFT for my daily driver.

Sorry Tim, just had a look here.

Got a set of Advan A050. After a few discussions with a Porsche race team, they seemed to be the proverbial aviary testicles!

They are for the 1M. Vans said they only go up to 265 section, so a little on the slim side for the beetle!

English car should be deal done this weekend, hopefully!

Definitely! Looking forward to seeing how the rubber performs.

I drove the English car on the track 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely EPIC! Never had so much feedback in my life!

I know this is a bump from a very old thread, but instead of starting another thread, just want to say extra thanks to the guys from tyrepower north melb.

Swapped over some tyres for me + alignment, did the job quick and fast (specially on a stupid hot day like today (45C Melb weather), at better than expected pricing

Another prop for Chris at Tyrepower North Melbourne (Goodway), fitted me out with some new shoes ordered in from the rack. Good bunch of guys and great service. Looks like youve got some good things going with your custom lips too, sorry i missed you on the day Vans.
