Thanks!

Might just be the picture, I've noticed all the flaws associated with the trunk and I have had several friends inspect it for verification.

Only issues are installing the key hole from the OEM trunk and the 3rd brake light which was cracked in 2 places by the body shop.

Looks great. I think it looks better without the badge!

Agreed! Except the shop didn't listen to me and shave the holes. In a few weeks it's going back to get the holes removed so I can run it without the emblem

Sweet. I too have a 08' graphite metallic and looking to get csl trunk and cf diffuser. Now I know what my car will look like before I bite the bullet. Thx for posting pics! Do you mind me asking how much parts, labor and paint cost?

The trunk itself cost me $850 and to have painted was $300.

By the way, is that a tow hook license plate? Are those things universal? And dayum $1150 for trunk lid, what you should get next is the 1m rep bumper. Can't wait to see you finish this car!!

Yes it is and you can get one here:

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-14...92-e82-z3.aspx

It's not a trunk "lid" it's an entirely new carbon fiber CSL style trunk. Weighing approximately 30lbs less than the OEM trunk.

Originally, I wanted to get the 1M replica rear bumper but it was out of stock for 6 weeks so I decided to go this route. Maybe in the future I will get an entire OEM 1M kit however I'm more focused on performance. So next items on my list are suspenion (KWs), LSD (Qualife) and RB turbos.

I think $1150 for a painted double sided CF csl trunk is a pretty good price!

Looks incredible! Nice work. You have to keep the logo on though, it looks too naked without it.

Looking great. What made you decide to put the badge back on?

Where'd you get your plate frame?

I think the emblem made it look cleaner, more "OEM"

The ///M frame? Via BMW

I agree. The emblem makes it look more oem. But it also throws off the balance. I looks like the 3rd brake light and emblem should be moved up so there is equal space on top of the light and below the emblem. I'm planning on installing a csl trunk myself in a few weeks and I can't decided if I want the emblem on or off.

There IS equal space. Measurements were taken prior to installation.
