I like it here...

I've been on a lot of forums. In fact one called advrider.com goes back 15 years to before the iphone was around. Without a doubt the is the most respectful and positive forum or dub forum I've been a part of.

Just sayn

Nice. Explains your linked website. I know a couple of GS riders. Not sure if you know them or not. The name of one of them is Paolo from Italy.

Nice GS! It's been a few years since I've ridden a bike or been on ADVRider. I had an '05 Multistrada 1000S which was not as nice or as useful as your GS, but the sounds it would make... Not the fastest bike I've owned but certainly my favorite. Except the expanding fuel tank... ditched it for a Miata after a few years due to that issue, and I was tired of nearly getting myself and wife killed by left turners on every ride. But what a bike!

It is quite possible I sold him a video.

Thanks,

Man, what a bike! I rode one once. It will give you wood every time you twist the grip.

I commute into DC every day, so get what you are saying about cagers!

That's cool. He lives in the Gaithersburg/Germantown/Rockville area. Maybe we should set up a Bimmerpost group ride.

If that is the case, I may even have met him, but not know him by his handle. I have an annual tech day for BMW Motorcycles: http://advrider.com/index.php?thread...-2018.1278424/ It would be fun to do similar for cars!

I'm noticing the smaller the community, the better. My friend's Subaru SVX groups are wonderful as well.

Looks like you're opening the event up to all bikes. If you don't mind either a Ducati 848 or a Kawasaki ZX-10R, I'd be open to hanging out.

I have ridden S1000RRs on the track. Would have bought the S1000RR instead of the 848 had I ridden the RR on the track before buying the 848.

LOL this doesnt apply to the i3, the forums I have found are so deserted. Most EV people are on general EV forums not specific to a brand. Plus with my stable not sure if any EV owners would talk to me if they knew the excess fuel burners I have.

I like it here too. Most of us know that we cannot be taking our cars into the dealers every time some little thing goes wrong. We also know that preventive maintenance will keep our cars going for a very long time. So, the info supplied here especially in the DIY's is so very important to us all. I have no problem buying a 15 year old BMW with 120,000 miles if I know (and its documented, even in hand written notes) it has been maintained. You'll always see me here preaching: MAINTENANCE RECORDS

I've got tens of thousands of posts across a wide variety of other forums and this is hands down one of the best. It also amazes me how mature and respectful our little community is in comparison to the broader N54/N55 groups that seem to be populated by barbarians.

Wait just one damn minute ...
Aren't you guys the same people who just last year where complaining about how many 'kids' where coming into the community and 'tunering' the cars?

Must be the changes to Medicare and drug schedules that's caused the change in attitude.

Beyond comparing and updating a 120v public plug-in Location Directory-fascination abounds -what's passionate about an appliance? Maybe I'll visit my toaster forum in their honor

"and a toast..er to your new remote volt-ohm-meter!!"

Another ADVrider member checking in.
Speaking of this bunch of addicts... considering all BMW drivers are basically assholes... I've seen way worse, actually.
Pretty inclusive bordering on cuddly if you ask me
