Video from 1Addicts & 1erForum meet to Nürburgring, 15 May

First of my videos posted, more to follow.

Although this doesn't look fast because the wide angle lens giving a false sense of speed and distance, we were traveling quite fast and close....intense:

I can certainly appreciate the actual speed that was traveled. I filmed a large portion of my ED trip on the Autobahn, small/twisty country roads/alpine passes and the Nurburgring at fairly high speeds and when I showed my friends back home, they all criticized me for driving too slow. Film just doesn't capture speed accurately, especially when people are used to watching Youtube videos of pros going 10/10th at the outer limits of their cars.

Anyway, love the way your gf/passenger (?) was navigating for you like in a real rally race hahaha! Wish my gf did that for me during our ED trip.

Hahaha she was doing well with the turn by turn directions but the terminology was a bit off, "snaky road, snaky road..."

Love it!

Maybe they wanted to hear a fart-can exhaust that is terribly loud and annoying and have a cheap camera jerking around. That seems to give a false sense of fast, and the fact that most of the vidoes shot are complete garbage.

Awesome Video, BTW!

I miss those "snakey" roads. I looked at a map of the roads here in Ohio and it looks like a grid, boring and straight. Those back country roads, and the Nurburgring itself, was driving heaven.

No, no, no...my wife was inside my car calling out turns...I was trying to keep up with JK135i who has a N54 with JB4 and meth....

BTW, love these new brake pads...definitely felt so much stronger, allowing me to brake late and catch up to him...on the straights he blew me away.

'Ring footage coming as it was upside down inside my camera so the entire thing has to be rendered right side up.

HAHAHAHA The right turn in the beginning of the vid where open field is, I didn't realize how sharp that turn was and almost ran off the road. If that camera was in my car you would have heard oohhhhhh SH*********T!!! fortunately 135's handle good enough to keep me on the road.

DAMN!!!!!! I wish I would have caught up with you guys earlier. I would have loved to do that run since the one I did on the 'ring was "washed out"

Nice driving rick. What kind of brake pads did you go with?

looked like a lot of fun! your wife makes a great co-pilot. taught her well good to hear about those brakes. that will be my next set on.

btw, if you work on a mac, you can flip the video inside quicktime without the need to render. much faster than actually importing into a NLE application for that specific purpose
