Thats not a surprise to me. The N54 is going to get a ''progressive bump" The birdies are saying that 326hp is the magic number as that is what the Euro base 7series has. 326hp in BMW terms is what? 355-360hp??? Booyah!

Does anybody know when the new Z4 will come out?

I've heard so many different rumours. I think if the new Z4 comes out with the N54 engine sometime soon I'll have to look at doing a trade in (although I don't have my 135i yet)

Personally, I think you could compare the two cars if you were considering them both. If you were actually going to load up a 135i with nearly every option, I guess you could get them into the same ballpark if you could live with a bare bones Z4M. Of course, you could then load up the Z4M with every option and get into the ballpark of the next car up the chain and so and and so forth... (when you think about it, it is an easy way to rationalize moving up the chain)

My point is that you should compare similarly optioned cars to get an idea of the true distance between their prices. Also, you have no idea what the discounts on the 135i are right now. I bet some of the lots with a lot of 2008s would be willing to haggle.
