Recall on driver side air bag and cv joint
So I am still waiting for my dealership to phone me for the recall on the air bag driver side on my 135 2012, that I receive on may 2016, contacted them 3 times since and no results , anyone had the recall done on his car ?? Recall is on 1 series 2008 to 2013.
Also, another recall will start march 27 for rear driveshaft cv joint for 135i and M1 series 2011-2012 |

Thanks for posting. I have a 2012 135i and have not heard anything about these recalls.
I did have an air bag inflater done as a recall on my Acura TL a few months ago. I'm in Ancaster (Hamilton,ON) |

I got that letter last summer from BMW. Funny thing is I received one for my old car (a mazdaspeed) telling me the new airbag was available for it now.
No word yet on the new airbag for our 1er.

Yah nothing but silence from BMW Canada on the CV joint. MyBMW.ca doesn’t show anything yet either.
Still waiting on the Takata parts as well... |

I've received the letter for the airbag and my dealer just called and setup an appointment for the flexible disc? Im assuming thats the recall for the cv joint. I asked about the airbag and was told they still don't have the parts and probably won't for some time.

Does anyone know if this CV joint replacement will involve an alignment afterwards?
I was thinking of getting that done at an independent shop but I'll hold off if this would be part of the replacement. |

Had my appointment for the CV. The production number or date on the part was not included, so no need to replace.
The letter came after my appointment was done. No need to wait on the letter, the dealers can see the recall based on your VIN. |
