Any overheating issues in summer time heat like other un-named LEDs sold out there?

+1 for pics of the actual unit.

Rather see them on a 1. Also a DIY for these bad boys would be great as well. They do look extremely good on the e90s though.

Ah yeah good point. Now all we need is to see what the "kit" looks like and/or a simple DIY. I'm sure it can't be that different from the EFX/RDs.

They're only like 25 bucks? They're actually REALLY good for the price. I've been really happy with em, and they'll make good back-up bulbs if the LEDs which are a lot pricer give issues w/ codes or ballast shorting.

Here you go. It doesn't look too bad. For the result, I think the juice is worth the squeeze.

Thanks, you beet me to it.

these are for the e92 coupe, but essentially they are the exact same for the 1 series.

the wiring harness takes about 5 minutes to install, the you ppop the back cover off of the headlight, and you can get at the H8 angel eye bulb right there.

Its pretty simple

NO NO NO ... this is a different brand. these cost about $75 more and they are not as bright. they produce around 200 LESS lumen then the LUX h8 kit does.

Thanks for commenting back and posting a link to the pics. You, however, did not reply to my question about overheating and throwing codes in summer weather, i.e. 100+ degree outside temperatures.

I'm guessing that from what I've read, that they haven't been field tested in our 1ers yet (this is still a pre-order). I'm hoping everything goes good tho. The EFX's are the ones that throw codes right? These have a 1yr warranty. Somebody has to find out if they work under all conditions. I may have to be "that guy". Ha, can't turn out as bad as my quad exhaust debacle.

Hey sorry, i misses that part. They should not throw any codes. They use a external wiring harness which bypasses the error codes, so there should not be any problems at all for these.

Excellent about the not throwing codes, now onto the last issue. Will they overheat during summertime temperatures?

THe LED's are rated for Quite a high temperature. they have a good amount of heatsinking to keep them cool enough. so there will be no problems.
