Silver Vision come stock?

Hey guys, was reading through the manual and saw this:

Do our front turn signals already have silver vision bulbs? If so, I just purchased a set for no reason the.

Even if they do, I do still notice some orange in where the bulb is so maybe some come stock with them and some don't?

From the looks of it #7 is the turn bulb and the description is "Bulb Silver" so I believe that they are. Hope this helps! I did an 08' 135i. You can check other years if you want, wasn't sure what year you were.

What does the silver bulb do? I know there are amber reflectors in the headlight housing already but what does bulb change do?

Silver Vision Bulb

Essentially its just a coating of silver on the bulb so you don't see any orange, but when it is lit you still get the orange glow

Ah okay so it gets rid of that orange bulb that you see... Doesn't BMW have an amber reflector inside the headlight housing though?

correct, even if you swap out the bulb, you will still see amber

i wish it was as simple as swapping out the bulb to get rid of the ugly amber

But I believe changing out the amber bulb for a silver vision one will "help" rid the egg yolk effect. Obviously the amber reflecter will still be there.

Here you go guys, installed some silvervision bulbs:

Below is a picture before i put them in

Here it is after i put them in

In this picture below, the right side(driver side) has silver vision in and the left side(passenger) does not have it in.. if you look closely, you can tell the difference

This picture below has both sides with silver vision

*edit*

Everything will look better once my Silver Etched Glass amber gones come in =)

Looks good Salazar!

And Silver Vision bulbs have a light coating of silver on them. U can find other bulbs that look like solid chrome when off, but still light up amber. Should reduce the egg yolk effect even more.
