Need Help! Will E46 wheels fit on my 128i?

Need Help! Will E46 wheels fit on my 128i? I've found someone local to buy a set of steel wheels w/ winter tires, but I don't wanna spend the time & money if they won't fit on my car. I really have no idea how to figure this out, so i thought I'd start here. Thanks!

Depending on what offset, width, and tire sizes are used it may fit.

Thanks for the help, but to be honest, being someone who's never actually bought a set of wheels & tires for my own car, that dosn't actually help me too much. How can i figure out the offset, width, and tire size that's on my car now, and know what offset, width, and tires would work on my car?

Here's link to all of BMW's wheels and their specs (it's in German, but you should be able to figure out what you're looking for). You'll need to know the style of your wheel; select it and you should have your offset.

If you know the specs behind the wheel your interested, you can plug in your current wheels dimensions and the potential new wheels specs in this offset gonkulater to get an idea for fitment.

Another alternative is to lurk the wheel forums to find what's working for others. Hope this helps.

Tirerack.com is a great place to start getting familiar with fitments and tire sizes that will work with your car. Just put in your application and you are good to go.
