SHARP! Cut edge/end of the seat rails!

Holy mother of god those things are freaking sharp as hell!
MY GOD! I've cut all kinds of things thus far on them!
Including shoes! Get out too fast and not pick up your shoes fast enough as you slide out of the car....say adios to the top of your shoes!
Leave something on the ground and quickly pick it up....yeah cut that too!
Drop something under the seat and go to grab it too quickly....oh say hi to the sponge bob band aids!
WOW! Really? I mean really?
God I hate to say this again but why did my VW have little rubber bits on the end of the seat rails and my 135I doesn't? Let me guess....because it will save 0.00001 euro per car?

Part #52109110103 - ONLY APPLIES TO SEAT RAIL front right/rear left

and #52109110104 - ONLY APPLIES TO SEAT RAIL front left/rear

$0.74/ea at ECS, or check the back of your seat and move those to the front, switching sides.

Yeah that's not a freaking cap man! That's a half ass attempt at a cap! What is that thing! I have it...and it doesn't do jack! But I'll take a closer look if it's missing back to BMW I go to say "Ah buddy....car is missing this part!"

I'm talking about the nose of the rail, it's rather sharp and open.

Mine rail caps came off and one broke. I had BMW fix it under warranty.
But any issue I have I ask for warranty and usually they warranty it.

Which is why the plastic cap fits over that. I'm pretty sure they're made by the same folks that made the ones on my old Audis too, at least they're nearly identical in design, feel and how frequent they pop off.

Checked my car during lunch it also has them, they seem very secured.

Yeah but are the rails still sharp?
I mean sure they can be on there, and I'm 99.99% sure mine are still on there but that rail is still open.
