Great control! That's Shenandoah. Is this from last weekend?

Nice job! Good ol' SPR. I could even see the white BSR's ex police cruisers in the background! I guess this is at the end of turn one on the "big course" Summit Point? Man it looks so different w/o all those trees. The last time I was there was in 1998. Before they built the third track, but I got to drive and instruct a few times at the Jefferson track.

Dackel, this skidpad is in the middle of the third track, Shenandoah. Unlike the other one, we can access this skidpad without going on the track, so we can keep lining up all day.
At sunset on Sunday while I was packing up and most cars were already gone, Joe was still out there drifting, and the event guys had to chase him down and tell him its time to go home. |

Yes - this was last weekend. For some reason I found it much easier to go left than right. Like Gary said, they have an open skidpad, and I couldn't get enough! Went home with a very dirty car...

Thanks. That is a funny story about Joe. Btw... I did some snoopping on Google maps. MAN has SPR changed. Looks like for all the better. Kind of cool Bill Scott's son is running BSR now. I know Bill had always woried that the track would go under. I remember Bill even made a pledge to the SCCA that would never happen. I can still remember instructing at FATT's and Bill would come out with his old MB 300TE and a tail gate full of SPR apples for all of us. Talk about getting paid for peanuts! lol Speaking of which... I don't know of BSR still does this.. but every year about now... you could order yourself some Summit Point Apples delived in a nice wooden box. I always got some for my friends. They were the fastest apples in DC! Dackel Last edited by Dackelone; 10-08-2011 at 01:56 PM.. |
