My dealer called me today and said that the recent pricing info is fake. :-/
He said that BMWUSA has not announced pricing yet and that someone faked the pics. Does anyone have definitive proof that I can send him?
Yes, I've seen this photo, but it is not really 100% proof, unless it was in the window of the 135i at the Auto Show... |

The photo in question was snapped "behind a curtain" at the BMW display by autoblog, having been moved there after initially being displayed with the car. Certainly not fake, but possibly preliminary. The identical PDF was also purportedly emailed to a 1addicts member by his dealer here. |

Circle BMW's 1er site lists the same prices: http://www.bmw135i.net/pricing/2008-...upe-Prices.htm
But I agree, it's all preliminary until an order is placed. |

I was at the LA auto show today and they had that same pricing sheet on a pedestal right next to the 135i. So it would be BMW making these 'fake' pricing sheets. Prices may change however, but it doesnt make this sheet fake.

Given that the price sheet is correct, minus destination charges, and any options, the price quote is right in line with what I stated 2 months ago, when I quit guessing. Not knowing if option sheet and prices are correct, boy the price of the 135i could really go north of $40K and most likely $45K given the equipment ordered. Let's hope they offer package equipment pricing, to give a better price if several popular options are ordered together. If not some people will have to rethink some of the options considered to keep the price down. If I'm understanding this right, the sheet represents the BASE price and standard equipment on the left side of the sheet, and pricing of available options on the right side of the sheet, with no destination charge given.

The option and option package pricing appears to be legitimate and is in line with similar option pricing on other models. There's no reason to think they're inaccurate or will be changed much before becoming "official". |

Real today...but maybe a different reality tomorrow
See:
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...4&postcount=30 I took this photo at the 1 Series display at the LA Auto Show. Note the fine print: Prices & Specifications Subject to Change Without Notice In my world this is as real as real gets. |

My dealer gave me a "official" quote for my spec'd car ... that quote was exactly in line with that sheet you displayed. IIRC some dealer on this site said he received pricing info at work too. Of course prices may change but your dealer is essentially wrong.

yeah imo anyone with a modicum of sense (or an attorney watching over what they are doing) would put this on any price sheet whether they intend to alter prices or not.

If your allready that close with your dealer I guess your looking to spend top, or MSRP, dollar...
I'll do all of my own research and if, that if is a biggie, I decide to order one, I'll probably research a good ED salesperson on bimmerfest and make the offer by e-mail or phone... And this will be a few months after release, again, if I decide to buy one...
