They seem louder than once it warms up, but not obnoxious. I don't know if it is because the car holds the RPMs higher, or if there is something else. In addition to being louder, it also sounds raspier. That makes me think it is adjusting other things elsewhere.

Just wanted to provide a quick update. Had the car at a BMWCCA driving event today. I would say about a dozen people came up and complimented the sound of my car. "Like a BMW inline 6 should sound" was said a lot.
