I think a few have - I know ~gbent has and at least one other forum member who was extremely smart and locked an ED in before all of the allocation woes hit.

I'm trying to find a dealer willing to spend an allocation on a mid-summer ED myself and so far have not had much luck.

Not fall, but I'm in the process of getting set up for July. The dealership took my order and will be using one of their May or June allocation slots to fill it.

Yea, we're picking our 135i up on June 11th, but I had the first deposit down at our local dealership quite a while ago. :smile:

I'm sure if you call around you can find a dealership that will use one of their allocations for an ED.:iono:

my dealer doesnt seem to have any trouble with allocations (devon hill, pa) and mentioned about 5-6 cars a month...I have a june 24th ed set up for a 135 vert...sgm/coral...ridin dirty

This is usually true, but not for the 1-series for some reason. You should be able to get an ED car, but you're not going to get the deals like on other cars.

As for a car in fall, that's a long way out for most dealers and BMW NA. They won't be able to confirm anything for awhile, but there's no reason why you can't get the ball rolling.

Where are you at? I've got a dealer in LA that would probably be willing to do an ED for you at MSRP. PM if you want.

although coming out of dealer allocations, 1er ed's will still reap the benefits of the european msrp...this has been discussed several times, the standard 7% will apply to 1er ed's and if your dealer won't offer it, go somewhere else!

I've already got a dealer setup which I have used in the past. Great guy actually!

When he tells me its not possible to order that far out, I certainly believed him. Im completely baffled at how that one guy on this forum is confirmed for August. Sounds fishy to me. From what I understand, it wont be till May'ish till we can work out a Sept delivery. Oktoberfest, here we come!!!

This is right. See the posted thread above. There, I've posted the confirmation of ED delivery date and the price I'm getting, which is the ED price.
