Just cracked the 100k barrier this week as well. Only issue I have had during the journey was bad injectors. I have had all six replaced once. I also had the battery cable recall done. Other than that, I have had the vavles walnut blasted at ~50k and installed a catch can shortly thereafter. I haven't had any problems with anything else. Only modifications to the car are coilovers, intake, charge pipe, mids and axle back exhaust. Unfortunately, I have only had time to run one track day but I hope to change that once the kiddos get older.

Mine turned 30K and hasn't been let out since.

Love to see people daily driving their cars however, and I did exactly that with my E30 M3 for over a decade.

5 K mile garage queens depress me

Nice.

We always hate it when we reach 100k km, but for you guys that's be only 62k mls.

So it's very relative.

It's all about the quality of the miles, not the quantity

How are suspension/bushings/mounts holding up?

What about cooling system?

I don't think that's in the cards. He really likes the 1M. We did see the M2 in Detroit last weekend, it looks good, and I'm sure performs great. The scarcity of the 1M is probably appealing. You see everything down here, but not many 1Ms.

And you're right, this isn't a collector's car by any stretch of the imagination. He got it to drive, and apparently likes driving it quite a lot.

Everything suspension related is fine. We have smooth roads so they don't get a very hard workout, and he doesn't track it.

No cooling system issues.

He has had plenty of fuel pumps as mentioned above (though apparently not in the last 60k miles), fuel injectors, a wastegate or two, and had the walnut blast so many others have had.

I may post a more detailed list of warranty repairs when I get it all straight. He told me but it was honestly a little hard to keep it all straight.

Nope, but you probably saw him there, he's everywhere.

Saturday morning he will call me and he's already been to Homestead, Ft. Lauderdale, Key Biscayne, the Beach, and that's like before 10:00 a.m.

I'm only exaggerating slightly.

Cool. Would appreciate additional clarification on timing of HPFP replacement with respect to expiration date of factory warranty whenever you're able to parse out that information.

One last question. How has the clutch held up? Is it still original? Any hotspots/vibrations?

Damn Server...

Driving a 2nd car 5K per year is about right when it is not your daily.

I love preserving a car nicely for my off time.

Cover off, on your mark, set, go!

The car has never been north of Palm Beach which is 60 miles from my house. The car has been babied--it has not been above 150 mph. I do my best to avoid carbon buildup by hitting three digits at least once a day, but only for the mechanical benefits.

I usually get about 10k from the PSS rears and 20k from the fronts. It has had four HPFPs. The extended 50-100k warranty was well worth it. It is serviced at Braman in Miami with Marcos Rodriguez, who has been superb over the years.

Almost five years later I still get thumbs up from other drivers daily. The paint is maintained with Zaino Z2 and Z6 and the guys at Braman say it has the best shine of any car that comes in there. The mechanics (and others) frequently try to buy it from me.

Without further ado:

haha love the first 2 paragraphs

What?? Great use for a fun car. Its all relative. I have 67k and have enjoyed every second of it. Would have hated spending that much time in a boring dd.
