Who's keepin the 1...?

With all the new refreshes coming out, most recently the gorgeous 4 series coupe...the new 2 series might be a real looker. That being said, who else is planning on keeping their 1 series for the long term? I'm probably going to buy it out after my lease ends in 2014...even adding the BMW performance exhaust tomorrow. I really feel this is a special car and will age VERY well over time...

The new 4 looks amazing, but I have no problem with my car. So far its been reliable, comfortable, and I absolutely love the drive. I dont see any reason to sell it.

+1. I might consider one of the new ///M models when I have more money, but for now, I don't see any clear reason to go from my 135i to a 235i or 435i.

If it's all about looks, it'd be way cheaper to get a body kit for the 135i.

I love mine and plan on keeping it for a very long time. Or at least until I die. I love the sporty driving and response after installing the PPK1.

Hopefully my love affair with my 123d continues beyond my lease. I have plans to put it in the garage when I pay it off. By that time it will have 125,000 km on the click - retired to weekends and local travel for me wife.

I've got mine until 2016, so not even thinking about what comes next for another couple of years at least.

I will certainley be interested in what the 2 Series looks like and what it's spec is, although I'm sure the M235 will be mechanically identical to the current M135.

Well, picking it up today, so we'll see! I tend to SAY I'm going to keep cars forever, then something else comes along that I want. I imagine I'll be in this position again in 3-4 years with the 2 (no intention of buying a first production run).

Love my 128i, I don't plan to get a serie 2, I don't really like the new design of the 3 and 1 serie. I'll keep that great NA inline six for a while I think.

Same here only mine is marked as an 09 135i, still have the "Year of the One" ring around the push to start button. I must have the end of year model before the 2010 model started production???? Oh, and I also have all the books and special freebies that came with the car when it was new! She's a definate keeper!!!!! Haven't had an issue yet!

Traditionally, I have not kept cars long..........but I enjoy this 135 so much that I think it will be a long-term car for me, near perfect for me at this time of life.

i'm keeping it for the time being. There are many new car models coming out in 2014 that I am very excited about.

I purchased my car when I began college, and since I had a scholarship to school, I paid for my car over the 4 years with my job. Since my car is almost paid off, and I am now working on my masters, I don't see a point in making a new car purchase, especially since many cars are towards the end of their lifecycles.

Hopefully by 2014, I would be done with my masters and be in a stable financial position so that I can purchase a M3/M4 or even a 235i M sport or w/e comes out.

I love my car, but it has had its fair issues over the years. Luckily, they have all been fixed under warranty, but post warranty has me a bit worried : ). Plus, could use a bit more power ^_^.

She keeps me smiling I'll keep her.
And she does is simply by running, being reliable, not costing me an arm and a fucking leg...and having that gorgeous sound!
