I'll still keep all those mods except I'll go back to around 1.5deg rear camber. I need new tires, my current 255 PSS's were very difficult to get to somewhat fit. Now I'll just have to check everything out very closely and decide whether to risk going up to 265s, probably not.
Congrats on the successful mod. What rear rotor did you use?
Bmw e91/e87 perf or F10?

If you used f10 maybe that's why you had some minor issues

265 has been run before, so I hope you can too. Usually requires camber, the right wheels and/or fender roll. Can I ask about your wheels, what specs they are, maybe the inner part now is close to the shock body

E brake applies to 128i's
With f10 rotors the 135 needs an adjustment of brake shoe spread distance using the usual brake adjustment knob

It sure appears that I gained 10mm. I didn't calculate it, the inventor Andrey did in his post. It's very nice to have my rear et45 Volks (my mods including this mod are listed in my signature) finally tucked more properly under the fenders. My mechanic said he tried around 5 combinations. Early combinations he would have had to cut my spindle? He measured it all out and figured out I believe using 130i Euro hubs and rotors. He did not try to find an emergency brake solution for me, mainly since I have a step transmission anyways. I'll send Andrey the parts numbers.

Thanks Eyeman

So to summarize what you did:
- Replaced rear wheel bearings, large necessary labor cost
- used the 335i rear hubs
- used a e9x 328ix/330ix 300x20mm rear rotor that fits over 135i hand brake shoes.

I am intrigued by your choice of rear rotor since 135i stock is 324X22mm. Do you see any braking behavior changes?
Next time you can use the F10 rear rotor, it is 320x20mm and requires a washer for the rear caliper to center correct

I am posting your message here for the benefit of others:

This mod is a huge plus for our cars. We either need to do this or run one of 2 or 3 wheel options. I've fought my rear wheels since buying them. But they were too nice to pass up. I'm running max factor camber now (nearly 3 deg) and not rubbing on the strut side. So when I drop back to like 1.5 deg camber I'll have plenty of room even for a 265 PSS on the inside, not so sure on the fender side since I'm lowered around an inch.

Thanks for your idea. Otherwise, I had planned to drop back to 245 PSS's my next set and still stick with that much camber. The mod will practically pay for itself in a set or two of tires due to better wear.

I do not do most of my own mechanic work and I was not aware that my new rear rotors were smaller than my originals. I have not noticed any braking differences.

My mechanic ordered 4 or 5 combos and figured out which he felt worked best. I am very happy with the results! It's definitely one of the best mods I've done to my car. I can chose tons of different rear wheels now, even 10 inch wide options.

Does anyone know the part numbers that come with the ECS kit?

http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E82-135....0L/ES2762929/

The e92 324mm rotors are plug and play no shims necessary right?

I will email them

They also have a 128i kit:
http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E82-128...ngs/ES2762927/

135i kit applies to n54 and n55
http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E82-135....0L/ES2762929/
Warning - 2012/2013 135i have slightly different rear fitment because the rear Knuckle has a design tweak that looses 3-4mm. So I don't know how compatible this will be, but as far as I know brakes/rotors do not change and fit fine across the e82 years. It should not do any harm lol.

EDIT:
It is almost confirmed that the 135i kit has the Euro Performance rear rotor from e91 rear kit/ e87 130i

So if we wanted a BBK later on what car would we purchase the kit for to ensure it fits perfectly?

E9x 335i spec F and R
But most BBK are On Front and we here we are talking about rear hub mod to convert to e9x.

If it was not for the unique 135i rear callipers and rotors this mod would be done all the time
Look at 235 it's using f30 335i brakes

FYI f30 /f22 front caliper and rotor fit us as well. Rear of f22 f30 also but with more work that is for another thread

New rotor discovered for narrow hubs in 324x22, same size as OEM 135i !!!

Along side the e91 Perf rotor 34216795755 there is/was a Blank face rotor for 130i !!
Its part number is 34216787931 , and it gets better because ZIMMERMAN made a copy as part # Zimmermann 150.3477.20 or 150347720
EDIT: Maybe even ZIMMERMANN 150.3477.00
EDIT 2: ZIMMERMANN 150.3477.52 should be their slotted/dimpled version of 34216795755

More alternate part numbers for this from OEM's
http://www.findpart.org/part/bmw-34216787931/
http://www.autopartoo.com/oem/248078.html

My Guess is that it costs under $150 USD/side which is about the current ECS cost of the e91 EuroPerf rotor. Interestingly, perhaps because of exchange rats, the e91 rotors cost about $50 less today then they did when I made this article.
Problem will be sourcing these, they are rare or have expensive shipping.

I'm still shocked you are going to this effort- 130i owners in AU/EU swap to 135i brakes incl. hubs as it improves availability or rotors and is a more cost effective swap than the BBK!

We also code our VOs with the sport brake option.

Can you explain what VO is? And when do you code to the sport brake option? Is it when you do full 135i brakes or 335i brakes?

I agree that going to 130i spec makes for less rotor choice.

However, you 130i guys with the rear 135i/perf Brembo BMW calipers can run rear F10 rotors once you modify the rear dust shield and shift the Caliper with a washer as a spacer.

The cost depends on the rotors you use. The e91 Perf dimpled/slotted rotors are typically the more expensive OE BMW rotors, they are a direct fit.

If you review my OP here there are also these rotors that need caliper spacers and/or dust shield mods:
F10 rear 2 piece rotor 330x20 - 1.5 mm spacer/washer for caliper
e46 m3 rears 328x20 - 5mm spacer for caliper & extended bolts

Other user has downsized to e90 328xi/330xi 300x20 rotors

ECS has prepacked the e91 Perf rotors, bearings and some maintenance parts into a kit:

Can anyone confirm these part numbers? I'm going to be taking up this conversion soon for my 135i (and hope to clearly document exactly what is required for people in the future).

2x E91 Performance Rotors - PN 34216795755
2x E90 Rear Wheel Hub - PN 33416760058
2x Rear Wheel Bearing - PN 33416775842
2x Axle Nut - PN 33411133785

Is the above plug and play with my existing rear calipers / etc?
What rotors should I use to match these performance ones for the front (right now I have the stock blank face rotors)?

That list sounds correct with it
You will have Performance rear rotors with the dimple and slots.
If in doubt look at ECS kit it should be exactly what you have.

There is no bolt on solution for blank rotor in the 135i size. All blank rotors currently need a washer or spacer for caliper.

The blank rotor that works bolt on is smaller size because it's from 328ix

Zimmerman blanks this special bolt on size are very rare old stock and may cost just as much as e91 Perf rotor
