need help. Passenger side halo bulb not working ...

Ok I had jus purchased my 08 135i about 2 weeks ago it has the adaptive xenon headlights. Which is nice but the previous owner neglected the car. Well I took it through my car wash at work and my headlight on the passenger side stopled working. Well go figure the cover on the back of the headlight wasn't on tight. (Not my fault). So I removed the bumore and headlights to find out the bottom of each headlight is cracked where the ballast goes in. Which was ziptied in... I came to the conclusion that the ballast and bulb in that headlight is bad.(the good bulb and ballast work in the bad headlight)... so the only issue is my angel eye"halo" does not work on that passenger side. But both led bulbs confirmed do work
Could this be a bad connector? Could the system just need a reset? Maybe the car cut power to that headlight when it got wet and it needs to be reset? Any input will help I don't want to spend $1200 on new headlights

Also wondering if you can go from xenon adaptive headlights and just stick aftermarket halogen headlights in instead. (They are cheaper)

If there's a crack and zip tie holding in the ballast I'd recommend buying a new headlight regardless. You can find used ones on eBay for about $300-400.
Your halo light seems like a short, did you try the working halo bulb on the bad headlight?

Both halo bulbs do work. In the good headlight. Not in the bad headlight . I'm also wondering if I can run the depo halogens in my xenon 135i if the adaptive headlights are coded out.

Do you know how to code the car? If you have INPA try clearing the error memory for the footwell module (FRM)

Also because you have xenons installed, you would have the corresponding led blackline tailights (maybe?) and if you code out the xenons, the car would expect normal halogen taillights and you might get errors thrown...
