So tell us, how do you ever plan to get to work on time when it may take you 4 hours to go 60 miles? Do you leave three hours early?
ha. good question. well I'm about to leave now to make it there by 9 or 9:30. it's 6 now!

hoping a lot of people stayed at home today so I can have some fun on the roads!

I challenge you to a drag race in snow, we can then submit the results to Tire Rack for our winter tire review lmao.

You guys need to do a donut-off! Or a giant snow angel-off?

On an unrelated note - 3002 tii - which tow hook plate is that? US Millworks by any chance? I ask because I just received my US Millworks one yesterday and if that's what you got as well, I was curious what you thought of it.

It is indeed US Millworks and I like it a lot. I have the Rho-plate on my other car and this is by far better (although the Rho isn't bad neither). Quality piece, very rigid, plate will definitely stay in place. Don't bother getting the quick release piece, the arm is too short so you can't reach and remove the pins. The standard bracket is perfect.

Perfect, thanks. It seemed to be the best built one and well-reviewed. I got the standard bracket and it will only be on to get the sheriff to sign off on me installing a front plate, then will be coming right off....until the next time I get a no front plate ticket, which hopefully will be never. O=)

Please resume enjoying the snow.

Finally signed up for my first CCC in 9 years. Feb 22nd at Candlestick Park with my local CCA chapter. So excited!

I'm jealous of all the fun you guys are having in the snow, but not of the long-term effects of driving my car year after year in "real winter". I shall continue to live vicariously through your photos.

I also have a US Millsworks front plate mount, but its still in the packaging in my trunk. Bought it just in case but haven't bothered to put it on yet.

4005 Miles

Well, I couldn't (safely) take a picture as I hit 4000 today as I was on the freeway, so I took one once I made it home. Some of you may not want to look at the temperature thing, though. O=)

Can you please point out which areas of deep snow blue remain?

My question is what's on the side mirrors? Icicles? Never driven in snow in my life, so at first glance to my untrained eye it looks like 1,000 bird shits, but I can't tell if it's ice or slush or what's going on.

I really need to come out there for the super bowl and hitch a ride to work with you one day. It's a good thing you're a doctor cause I may have a heart attack and I may need to bring an extra pair of pants and undies as well. hehehe. Would love to go for a snowy ride in an IS one day to hear and see and experience that.

I hit the 5000 mile mark, and so far the score is zero launch control event, one coffee spill, minimal stereo usage, 18 snow days, and not a single episode of breaking wind. I see cars for sale with "never seen rain or snow" or "never been tracked", but not "never been farted in". Perhaps TMI?

For once in my life, I'm at a loss for words. I am only reminded of going on a date when I had my first 135 and the woman mentioned something about, let's just say, being crampy and what have you. So, I got a towel from the back and said, don't worry, I'll just put this towel down for you on your seat...just in case, and played it off like I was totally kidding. I absolutely was not.

I just wish they still offered the Mercury Mistress, for those who really love their car:

What can I say...like Detective John Kimble...I love my car! (See first 25 seconds below)

Also, there's a reason why I made sure to order leatherette in my new car as well. =)

And I've officially lost my mind. But I love my car!
