Best method to remove AC buttons?
Not happy with the action of a few AC buttons- a bit stuck if not used recently & sometimes stick in after being pressed. I'm thinking something was spilled or splashed on them. Not very surprisingly these would be the buttons near the console mounted cupholder....
I've seen replacement buttons available, so I'm guessing (hoping...) the buttons will just pop off? Is that correct? If so, what's the best/easiest/safest method to remove them for cleaning? Any suggested tools or techniques to prevent damage?

So they really do just pull out...
Took a bit more than just the buttons to get these all cleaned up however. I was adding an extension to the OBD2 port so I could route my MHD cable over to the center console instead of having to plug it in the stock OBD2 location and across my legs whenever I wanted to have the gauges & logging. Turned out super slick. Ended up bringing the AC & stereo controls into the house and pulling everything completely apart. Cleaned a shit-ton of sticky soda leftovers. All happy now- all the buttons feel like factory new
