Premium pkg...
alright guys, a little explanation... I participated in the BMW drive for a cure this weekend (not my first time) and drove the 135i w/ step. I'm typically a manual guy, but I absolutely loved this car. Also, finally bmw got it right by allowing the driver to flip the da*n armrest straight up. Immediately this feature peaked my interest. Anyway...my question is, is the premium package worth it? I did not have it on my e92, and during long drives i found it to be slightly uncomfortable. All i really want is power seats and lumbar!
To people that dont have premium pkg, what are your thoughts? Thank you. -Greg PS: I was going to buy a 25yr anniversary S4 w/ very low mileage at a good price...but now i am reconsidering. |

There are a lot of threads about this same topic. The thing I've seen is usually it all comes down to what you need/want and how much you're willing to spend.
Some people can justify the $3k for it, others try to keep the price low. The premium package isn't that great unless you already want leather and power seats. The extra features like puddle lights, auto dimming mirrors, passenger mirror tilting down for reverse, aren't really worth it. However, I really like the bluetooth and use it every time I'm in the car.

i have premium and i say ITS NOT WORTH IT. thats my opinion. i wanted the leather....but you can get that individually. i am the only driver so i dont' need power seats.....as for lumbar....big deal.
i wish i would have gotten NAV instead....same price......around $2000

My 135 does this, no premium package.
I really wanted the ambient light package and the universal door opener, but nothing else from the Premium package really interested me. I have power seats, but only because that's what I was able to find in an SGM '08. If I'd had my choice I would have thrown out the power seats and got Comfort Access and HD Radio. :iono:

I like the premium package. I got it because I want leather (a must), and the bluetooth hands free is required by law, so that's another must. The power seat, I like it better than manual because I can get the adjustment down to the nanometer. Also the seat position memory is another must, I'm a bit anal about sitting position, and once I get it right, I save it. So even when I valet my car I won't worry about the valet boy changing my settings. Also, I've 2 setting saved, one for Fun driving, and one for daily commute. In the fun setting, I've the seat hug me very tight so I won't move even under hard corning. I don't care much for the nav and ipod connection so I opted for the premium pkg.

Sport package is a must on a 135 while premium is optional for me. I did not order the premium because of budget but I still enjoy my 135 very much and no regret.

I wouldn't of got the premium package if it wasn't already in the car I found and fell in love with but now that I have it I love it. I use everything in the package.
leather... Gotta love the leather Dimming Mirrors probably the best option Bluetooth use it everyday Power Seats a must and the memory is great for my GF Last but not least folding mirrors it is such a space saver in the garage. In my opinion it is a must if budget really isn't a problem.

I personally like the premium package and all it's goodies I think it is a little over priced but worth the money.
