Looking for an 08 135i

Hello everyone

I'm currently in the market of 08 135i. The dealer has one that i want, Jet black in black, Sport pkg, premium pkg, heat seats, auto, paddle. Msrp is $42150. He is offering 500 over invoice. I think it's acceptable. Since ppl in here can get an 09 for 1-2k off msrp, should I order an 09 or just get the 08?

your advice will be really helpful to me!

Depends on if you are planning on financing or not. If you are planning on financing, go for the '08 with the .9% financing. If not, go for the 09 and deck it out with whatever you want. That's my opinion.

As someone stated before, by purchasing an 08 you already lose some value. However, the 0.9% is very attractive.

Well depends on how long he's keeping the car for.. I imagine some people will be looking out for 1st year 1ers in the long term future. It's really not important though, nearly impossible to plan that far ahead of time

As others said, it comes down to financing you are looking at. here is a hypothetical for you. $38000 car with zero down and 0.9% financing at 7.75% sales tax is about $700 per month. Now take a car at about $40,500 (for an 09 with less off from msrp), zero down, 5% financing (who knows what they will offer on the '09s), and you get about $825 per month. So if you are going to be heavily financing the car, as in this example, you save about $125 per month over 60 months ($7500 total), by going with the 2008.
