135i Shadow line exhaust on 128i?
Again, please excuse my newbness as I'm still learning the BMW world.
I came across a 135i shadowline exhaust for a decent price. I was wondering if 1) this would be a worthwhile mod on my 128i 2) if I could get it to fit without a significant amount of hammering and prying. thanks |

you mean the 135i exhaust with black tips like this?
Yes it is doable. You will need to buy a stock 135i exhaust and bring it to an exhaust shop. there are a few ways you can do it, but what i found was easiest is having a shop cut behind the resonator, weld on a flange that will fit the stock 135i axleback, and then bolting on the stock axleback like thats how it was made. I have it done and it sounds great without being too loud at all. a bit milder than the performance exhaust for 128's.

Axle back is pretty simple cut and weld. As for the midpipes, I'm not too sure. Go to the exhaust threads in the 128 section and someone has the 135 muffler on with a video.

yeah man, its pretty easy take it to an exhaust shop. it looks good and sounds much better than stock. I'd stretch for the perf. exhaust though if youre in it for sound.

yea, I've heard the OEM Performance exhaust is the bees knees but this one I found is like a quarter of the price.

Yup its dip on the car, the spoiler is just a JBspeed carbon fiber perf spoiler knock off. Fits perfect and the weave is nearly flawless.

If you just want the black tips, can you not just swap the tips? I know the shadowline tips just slide off the 135i exhaust. Have a set here on my bench.

yup, http://lmgtfy.com/?q=e82+jbspeed+spoiler
edit: yeah the 135 tips come off, but i think stock 128 exhaust tips are too small to have them stay on correctly.
