LOL. Those were on some bad tires (280 treadwear Toyo T1Rs). Just wait til you come back someday. I've got sticker tires, more camber, better brakes and a large swaybar (for now) to keep everything planted even more!

A 2008 128i with the N51 has this listed as it's manifold:
01 Intake manifold 1 11617559523 $573.17
http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...56&hg=11&fg=40

Finally a 2008 128i with the N52N has this listed as it's manifold:
01 Intake manifold 1 11617559524 $573.17
http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...56&hg=11&fg=40

It's my understanding that the due to the N51's slightly lower compression BMW used the 3 stage intake manifold to make up for the loss of power.

Like I said I could be wrong but that is what I'm basing my statement on.
No worries, this is information I would like to know.

The part numbers are different on the N52.

125 N52N: 11617559523
128 N51: 11617559523
128 N52N: 11617559524

Since I think it may get missed - here's the photo of my intake with what appears to be an adjuster unit, I'd like TheSt|g to verify - last post on page 1: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...2&postcount=22

I think I stand completely corrected!

Fascinating. Also more interesting that software is just now coming out for DISA. I would have thought the '08ers would have been on that sooner.

Is that Rich's silver E36 hiding behind you there? You ever swap rides for a run?

I think it's because nobody knew until now exactly what the N51 is and with everybody and their mother tuning 135i's to 350+ hp who would bother with a little 128i? Especially the SULEV model. It makes me even more happy I picked mine up while in Rhode Island.

Now if I could just find $800 to send Evolve.

Well since you are bored at work

No, it is not Rich's car. He got rid of his silver one and now drives a Phoenix Yellow.

He did drive my car. I beat him just over 0.2 seconds

Him:

Me:

I also drove Kale's car, but he has yet to drive mine (trying to convince him to do it at the end of March)

I'm not new to this game.

I've had my SA run the vin and specifically says N51. The car was in California. California car plus VIN verification saying it is a N51 puts me in pretty confident manner that it is a N51.

The car should be here tomorrow or Saturday. I'll be more than happy to look and confirm.
Nothing like eating a little crow, but then again you never mentioned you bought your car from California (or I missed it). I've read the low emission models did get the N51, so sorry to assume otherwise. I guess congrats are in order then and happy future modding.

The car was bought from Arizona, but it's life was indeed in Cali. I only mentioned that the car had a N51, so I could see your hold-up.

Thank you, pretty excited for this type of DD!

I bet romping on Kale's was a blast! That thing is set right from what I see yall talk about on OB.c

To be honest Kyle, I couldn't stand to go back to the electronic PS of my E85 after stepping into the 1er...I forgot how good and natural it feels!! It'll be a great DD.

Even the F10 M5 has hydraulic, though I hear that blows.
