This is why they make you wait 3 months for delivery!

I can't believe I just went back to my dealer to add yet more useless and expensive options to my order... and it's all your fault!

I have waited for one month, but still have 2 to go and am getting desperate for all things BMW. So, I spend my evenings on this forum and quadruple checking the price list to make sure I haven't missed anything vital.

Today, I added the electric rear blind (after seeing that post about buttons & blanks in the centre console), the lighting kit, foldable rear head restraints & the 10-speaker hifi, because I would hate all you Americans for getting it as standard and then bragging about it online!

Please stop giving me ideas and making me spend all this money on gadgets I don't need, but want SOOOO badly

oh my gosh,
quickly, you forgot the sunroof, xenons, professional idrive, leather interior, sports seats, folding exterior mirrors, active cruise control, sports suspension and many more useful, exciting and very necessary options designed to double the price of the standard car.

the e90 is so exciting.

The rear shade is a good thought. I would have had that in my E90 if I had been patient enough to wait.

Join the group... I ended up adding the sport "package" to my car becuase of this board (which for an xi is just the seats and steering wheel). After hearing everyone talk about them I just HAD to have them....

Enjoy the wait.. Believe me, it doesn't get any better!!

Hmmm, you know I have always thought the rear shade (on any car) was a bit grandpa... but the other day I was driving and thought, "gee it would be nice to have that rear shade" when the setting sun was beaming in on mr rear view mirror, and seemingly the auto-dimming feature doesn't work for sun, only headlights.

It is def on the list for the next one, but then again I will be 39 and really old

I certainly found that this site brought sanity to my crazed life while waiting for my E90 to arrive. The wait is worth it, so let us entertain you in the mean time...

Well Paul, your ordering a 330d is driving some of us over here nuts with envy, so let us have a few piddling standard options that we can try and recover our sense of loss with.

likewise...

I can place full blame on this board for the phone call to my dealer this weekend to add comfort access to my order. I thought the difference between stock and CA would be trivial, but after reading several confessionals I was convinced.

Someone should tally up the royalties and have BMW send a commission check to E90Post.

My salesperson actually tried to talk me out of comfort access. He was of the opinion that it was "too much" for the 3 series... Crazy, no? BTW - I have a good relationship with this particular salesman (3rd car ordered from him..) so I believe he was just trying to save me some money...

Don't worry, I added CA on my first "upgrade" 10 days ago after being advised here that it was a must-have! The other options - heated seats, 18" wheels, green sunstrip & sunroof - I ordered BEFORE I discovered this damned forum

Doesn't your waiting time start over every time you change you order?

Not here in Europe: the secretary just logged on to my build sheet online and clicked on a few more options. She told me they can change just about anything until a couple of days before the car is actually put together. But I am just next door to the factory (compared to most of you), maybe they need more time for US vehicles?

Surely an ex-pat in France has better entertainment (Panda, wine, women...) than the sour humor we spew from our malcontented lot.

So true. Why doesn't it work with the sun is reflecting on the rear view mirror? It's even worse than blinding headlights.

I agree the rear blind is a bit pointless, but it makes me feel good in heavy traffic when I can put it up & stop the guy behind staring at me
