More pictures after delivery yesterday! Super White Fogs, Blackline...
Just finishing installed the super white h11 bulbs. It goes smoothly and I loves the results. They match the factory D1S and the super white silver signal bulbs. I need to read the instruction and find a way to turn off the DRL tomorrow. Maybe hardwire the V-1, too.
It was getting dark after I installed the fog light bulbs. I will try to take more for the blackline tail lights during the day tomorrow morning! Kevin 2006 330i sport/auto/heated seat |

That's why I leave the rear turn signal bulbs in amber! I just cannot stand the amber front bulbs!

I got the bulbs from a very reliable seller from Ebay for. These MTEC bulbs are much nicer than I expected since I always spent close to $100 and bought thoese PIAA bulbs in the past. In addition, these bulbs comes with lift time warranty.

Are those foglights as functional as the stock ones? Sometimes replacement bulbs like that look better but aren't really as good performance wise...
Also how hard are the foglights to replace?

MTEC bulbs are proven in terms of providing great color output.
however, they do have premature burning out problem. As for foglight install, go to DIY section in E90post. there is a DIY instruction there.

mtec 1156 bulbs installation
Hi Kevin,
Can you tell me if the installation for the side bulbs that uses mtec 1156 is hard to install? Does it require you to remove the bumper? Much info would be very appreciated! Pete |

Hi Pete,
You do not need to remove the front bumper to replace the turn signal bulbs. Just follow the instruction in the manual by turning the wheels to one side then took off the plastic cover on the wheel wall. The only thing is you will need to take one pin off the base of the bulbs in order for the 1156 bulbs to fit in the 7057 sucket. A scissor will do the work. Takes about less than 10 minutes for both sides. It is also easy to replace the fog light bulbs. Just take off the screws on the bottom cover. You can bend the cover and get easy access to the bulbs. It took me about 10~15 minutes from each side. Regarding the AC Schnitzer badge, I am not going to take it off. In fact, I love the way it looks. I had it on my e39 540i for years. I am sorry if any one does not likes it. Kevin |
